Why does the text sound weird?

Since I don't speak Japanese, it can be a challenge for me to find information and accurately translate them. Instead, I use an online translator which means some information may be worded incorrectly. For this I deeply apologise.
To fix this in the future, I am learning Japanese alongside my other studies however I seem to be a a slow learner...

一人の情熱プロジェクト
I'm a UK based wildlife biology student who's had an interest in cryptozoology since a very young age. However, I've never entertained any stories that lack good evidence. I aspire for cryptozoology to one day leave the pseudoscience category through proper scientific methodology. While almost all cryptids (an animal which has not been proven to exist) are mostly fictional such as the North-American Bigfoot and Loch-Ness Monster, the Japanese Wolf is a completely different story. Due to the evidence supporting its survival, I've decided to dedicate my life to studying the animal and hopefully rediscovering the species.
I recently visited Japan and got to see many specimens of Japanese Wolf ranging from skulls, pelts and full taxidermies. Seeing these artifacts fully cemented in my mind how truly unique the wolves are in comparison to other wolf species. It also presented me with many more questions than I had arrived with which I hope to solve in the future. In the meantime, I will be adding to and maintaining this library until I'm finally able to contribute more.

私はイギリス在住の野生生物学の学生で、子供の頃から未確認動物学に興味を持っていました。しかし、確固たる証拠のない話には耳を貸しません。いつか未確認動物学が、科学的方法論によって疑似科学の範疇から脱却できる日が来ることを願っています。北米のビッグフットやネス湖の怪物など、実在が証明されていない未確認生物（クリプティッド）のほとんどは架空のものですが、ニホンオオカミは全く異なる存在です。ニホンオオカミの存在を裏付ける証拠があることから、私はこの動物の研究に人生を捧げ、可能であればこの種の再発見を目指します。
先日日本を訪れ、ニホンオオカミの頭蓋骨、毛皮、剥製など、数多くの標本を見ることができました。これらの遺物を自分の目で見て、ニホンオオカミが他のオオカミ類と比べていかに特異であるかを改めて実感しました。同時に、当初抱いていた疑問よりも多くの疑問が湧いてきました。今後、それらの疑問に答えていきたいと思っています。当図書館への資料の追加と維持に努め、より多くのリソースを提供できるよう努めてまいります。
