"Forty years ago, I was scolded by a wolf while walking in the mountains, got scared, and ran away. There are people around me right now who have had even more amazing experiences. A resident of Niigata who says he caught and ate a wolf. Chichibu raised a child wolf. Many people say they saw a wolf or heard its cry. We have installed many fixed-point VTR cameras in the mountains of Chichibu and are chasing Japanese wolves."

This is the organisation run by Hiroshi Yagi which has been trying to find the Japanese wolves.
